Samajseva Mahavidyalaya, Gandhi Vidyapith, Vedchhi was established in the 1967 by renowned Gandhian Shri Jugataram Dave. Jugataram Dave and other Gandhians had started 'Balwadis' and 'Ashramshalas' (Pre-school centres for children) in tribal areas of South Gujarat, providing education and training in accordance with Gandhian method, called 'Nai Talim'.
